  • Are visits covered by insurance?
Chiropractic services are covered by most health insurance plans and are also able to be charged to health spending accounts (HSAs). At the end of your appointment you will be given a receipt which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Coverage varies depending on your personal insurance policy, so please check with your insurance provider for specific details.
  • Do I need a doctor's referral?
No, a referral is not necessary. In Ontario, chiropractors are considered primary care providers, meaning that they are able to assess, diagnose, and treat you without you having to consult with any other medical provider. They are able to do this due to their advanced level of education signified by the title of Doctor of Chiropractic.
  • Do I have to get my back cracked or adjusted?
No, that is not necessary if you are not comfortable with it. If we think spinal manipulation will benefit you, we may offer it to you, but we would never force a patient to do any form of treatment that they are uncomfortable with. There are many alternatives available if you are uncomfortable with adjustments/cracking.
  • What should I wear to my appointment?
For some treatments, we may need access to your shoulders, knees, and back. To make this easier, please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. Gym wear, like tank tops and shorts, is ideal for most treatments.
